Lloyd Stovern was born in Ratcliff, Saskatchewan, Canada on October 27,1912. He lived there until he returned with his parents to South Dakota in 1914. Lloyd also moved with his parents to Duluth in 1922 and returned to SD in 1926. Lloyd went to school in Roshott, SD and Duluth, Mn. only finishing fifth grade. Lloyd worked as a butcher for Skaggs stores in Sioux Falls and Fairmont, Mn. He also managed golf clubs in Worthington and Fairmont, Mn, ending up at Duluth as the Manager of the golf club there. He passed away on April 3, 1974 at 61 years of age. He was married to Ester Hanson. Both are buried in Duluth, Mn.
